Welcome back Jordan Sowash! After being injured and not able to run for 3 weeks (since our first race of the season), Jordan put in two days of easy running and decided to try to hit the course today. We hoped for him just to finish and didn’t expect a very fast run if he did, but instead we watched him build throughout the race to a 4th place finish (16:18); only 10 seconds off his best time. The other boys on the team also had great showings overall with 12 out of 18 runners setting either season or personal records. Our girls were paced again by Kaitlyn Owens, who ran her third race in a week under 20 minutes (19:57). Kaitlyn is leading a very good girls team who has their sights set on a second straight birth into the state finals. With freshman runner Emma Perry cutting 3 minutes off of her time in the past 3 weeks, our girls now have five runners under 23 minutes. Keep working boys and girls; great things are coming!
